New Director for Office of Zoning: Jamison L. Weinbaum, Esq.

Jamison L. Weinbaum has been selected to serve as the Director of the Office of Zoning. Mr. Weinbaum, who was chosen for the position by the Zoning Commission, will lead the independent office in providing administrative, professional and technical assistance to the Zoning Commission and the Board of Zoning Adjustment.

Mr. Weinbaum spent the last year as a project manager in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, where he focused on large-scale infrastructure, parks and transportation projects. He spent time in the private sector as a developer and investor, working both independently and for EYA (Eakin /Youngentob Associates). A trained lawyer, Mr. Weinbaum also worked for a pair of major law firms – Seyfarth Shaw and Reed Smith. He has an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and a law degree from The George Washington University School of Law. He is a member the DC Bar as well as the Virginia Bar.
