16935 - Appeal of Southeast Citizen's for Smart Development, pursuant to 11 DCMR §§ 3100 and 3101, from the administrative decision of David Clark, Director, Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, allowing the construction of four (4) single-family dwellings allegedly in violation of the side yard requirements under subsections 405.9 and 775.2, location parking space provisions under subsection 2116.1, parking space accessibility provisions under subsection 2117.4, in a C-2-A District at premises 1308, 1310, 1312 and 1314 Potomac Avenue, SE (Square 1045, Lots 134, 136, 137, 138).

16970 - Application of the National Child Research Center, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, for special exception approval to continue an existing child development center (last approved by BZA Order No. 16307) with morning and afternoon programs for 120 children at any one time, ages 2 ½ - 5 years and 38 FTE staff on all floors of the existing and proposed buildings on the site and for new construction of an addition and new building pursuant to § 205; and pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3103.2, for variance relief from § 3202.3, in order to allow the construction of an additional principal structure and the use of an additional principal structure, such that more than one principal structure will exist on a record lot and for relief from § 2100.6 which requires the provision of parking spaces for the proposed additional principal structure on the NCRC property, in an R-1-B District at premises 3209 Highland Place, NW (Square 2072, Lot 30 (855 & 866).

17011 - Application of American Association of Homes and Services for Aging, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, for a special exception to deviate from the ground floor designated retail and service area provisions under sections 1302.4, and 1304.1, or in the alternative a variance from section 1304.1, in the WP/C-2-A District at premises 2519 Connecticut Avenue, N.W. (Square 2202, Lot 116).

17008 - Application of Gideon Baptist Church, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3103.2, for a variance from the lot occupancy requirements under section 403, a variance from the rear yard requirements under section 404, a variance from the open court requirements under section 406, and a variance from the off-street parking requirements under section 2101, to allow the construction of a new church in the R-3 District at premises 901 Ingraham Street, N.W. (Square 2998, Lot 7).

16947 - Appeal of Kuri Bros Inc., pursuant to 11 DCMR §§ 3100 and 3101, from the administrative decision of J. Gregory Love, Administrator, Building and Land Regulation Administration, Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, for allegedly illegally revoking the issuance of a certificate of occupancy (#B00181657) for an automobile service center in the C-3-A District at premises 4221Connecticut Avenue, NW (Square 2051, Lot 5).

17009 - Application of RWN Development Group, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, for a special exception to allow an increase in building height from 40 feet to 50 feet under subsection 1402.1, and pursuant to DCMR § 3103.2, a variance from the residential recreation space requirement under section 773, to allow the conversion and enlargement of an existing commercial building into a 34-unit apartment house in the RC/C-2-B District at premises 1700 Kalorama Road, N.W. (Square 2567, Lot 81).

17013 - Application of First Rock Baptist Church Foundation, Inc., ., pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, a special exception to extend the provisions of the less restrictive R-5-A zone to the more restrictive R-2 Zone under subsection 2514.2, and a special exception to construct a new residential development under section 353, and pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3103.2, for a variance to extend the R-5-A provisions more than 35 feet into the R-2 District under subsection 2514.2(a), and pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, a special exception to operate a child development center for 90 children and 15 employees under section 205, to allow the construction of a 74 unit affordable apartment house for seniors with a child development center in the R-5-A and R-2 Districts at premises 4638 H Street, S.E. (Square 5359, Lot 324).

17007 - Application of Kathleen Peoples and Philip Sedlak, pursuant to § 3104.1, for a special exception to allow an addition to a single family row dwelling under section 223, not meeting the side yard requirements under section 405, in the R-4 District at premises 1018 Constitution Avenue, N.E. (Square 964, Lot 46).
