17395 - Application of Jemal’s Citadel LLC, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3103.2, for a variance from the rear yard requirements under section 774, a variance from the nonconforming structure requirements under subsection 2001.1, a variance from the requirement to provide a loading berth that is 55 feet deep under subsections 2201.1 and 2201.6, to allow the establishment of a mixed use project including a grocery store and general offices in the RC/C-2-B District at premises 1631 Kalorama Road, N.W. (Square 2572, Lot 36).

17399 - Application of Lot 74 LLC, pursuant to 11 DCMR §§ 3103.2 and 3104.1 for: (i) a special exception under §2514.2 to allow the regulations applicable to that portion of a lot in a lesser restrictive use zone district to be extended to that portion of the lot in a more restrictive use zone district; (ii) a special exception under §214 to locate accessory parking spaces elsewhere than on the same lot on which the primary use is located; (iii) a special exception under §411.11 from the roof structure setback requirements; (iv) a variance from the R-4 zone minimum lot area requirement of §401.3; and (v) a variance from the residential recreation space requirements of §773 to allow the construction of a mixed-use residential and retail building and two flats, with accessory parking in the Arts/C-2-A and R-4 Districts at premises 1939 12th Street, N.W. 17405 - Application of MacArthur Laverock LLC, on behalf of Cathie E. and Philip C. Guzzetta, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, for a special exception to permit an addition to a single-family detached dwelling under section 223, not meeting the rear yard requirements (section 404) in the R-5-A District at premises 4598 Laverock Place, N.W. (Square 1356, Lot 36).

17382 - Application of the Republic of the Sultanate of Oman, pursuant to 11 DCRA § 1002, to permit the expansion of a chancery for the Embassy of Sultanate of Oman to house the Military Attache’ and the Cultural Attache’ in the D/R-1-B and R-1-B Districts at premises 2535 Belmont Road, N.W. (Square 2501, Lots 6-8, 15-19, and 805).

17402 - Application of Karl H. Lass Family Trust, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3103.2, for a variance from the residential recreation space requirement under section 773, and a variance from the area and width requirements for a closed court under section 776, to allow an addition to an existing multiple dwelling in the C-2-C District at premises 1109 M Street, N.W. (Square 314, Lot 3).

17312 - Application of Washington International School, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, for a special exception under section 206 (Private Schools), to construct an addition to an existing building comprising 28,000 square feet and consisting of a library, a theater and classroom space, and pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3103.2, a variance under subsection 2117.4, from the requirement that each required parking space be accessible at all times directly from improved streets or alleyways via graded and unobstructed private driveways in the R-1-A District at premises 3100 Macomb Street, N.W. (Square 2084, Lot 837).

17418 - Application of Nora Fischer, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, for a special exception to allow a rear deck addition to an existing single-family semi-detached dwelling under section 223, not meeting the rear yard requirements (section 404) in the R-3 District at premises 2906 Cortland Place, N.W. (Square 2103, Lot 95).

17309 - Application of Dorchester Associates LLC, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, for a special exception under section 2516, to allow thirteen detached single-family dwellings on a single subdivided lot, including approval of two sixteen foot wide roadways rather than twenty-five foot wide roadways under subsection 2516 (d), in the CBUT/R-1-A District in the 2800 block of Chain Bridge Road, N.W. (Square 1425, Lot 827, Parcels 12/63, 12/293 and 12/294).

17419 - Application of Bradford A. Deel, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, for a special exception to allow a rear deck addition to an existing single-family dwelling under section 223, not meeting the lot occupancy (section 403) and rear yard (section 404) provisions, in the R-1-B District at premises 5528 MacArthur Boulevard, N.W. (Square 1445, Lot 64).

17391 - Appeal of Diana deBrito and Jonathan Gottlieb, pursuant to 11 DCMR §§ 3100 and 3101, from the administrative decision of the Zoning Administrator, Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) to issue building permits (B455009), (B451175), (B452735), (B451175, and (B452577) authorizing the construction of a principal dwelling other structures and fences. Appellant alleges that DCRA erred by allowing the permits for said construction to be issued in violation of 12 DCMR § 3110.3.3 and 12 DCMR § 3110.1.3, 11 DCMR § 405.9, 11 DCMR § 404, and 11DCMR § 2503.2. The subject property is located in the R-1-A District at premises 2620 Foxhall Road, N.W. (Square 1397, Lot 1031).

17419 - Application of Bradford A. Deel, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, for a special exception to allow a rear deck addition to an existing single-family dwelling under section 223, not meeting the lot occupancy (section 403) and rear yard (section 404) provisions, in the R-1-B District at premises 5528 MacArthur Boulevard, N.W. (Square 1445, Lot 64).

17412 - Application of Galen Heights LLC, pursuant to 11 DCMR §§ 3104.1 and 3103.2, for a special exception from the lot area and lot width requirements for eight (8) semi-detached single-family dwellings on individual lots pursuant to section 401.3, and a variance to permit parking between the building and the lot line of each of the individual lots under subsection 2116.4, in the R-5-A District at premises 1736-50 Galen Street, S.E. (Square 5755, Lots 144-151).

17416 - Application of Nationwide Properties of 1st Pl. NW LLC, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1 and 3103.2, for a special exception and variance to extend the C-2-A District zoning regulations by forty feet onto a portion of the premises zoned R-5-A under subsections 2514.2 and 2514.2(a), and a variance from the court width requirements under subsection 776.3, to allow the construction of an apartment house in the R-5-A/C-2-A District at premises 5414-5418 1st Place, N.W. (Square 3393, Lot 858).

17424 - Application of Prospect Associates LLC, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3103.2, for a variance from the use provisions under subsection 320.3, to convert an existing historic public school building (Wormley School) into a multi-family dwelling, having nine (9) condominium units, in the R-3 District at premises 3331 Prospect Street, N.W. (Square 1220, Lot 860).

17417 - Application of 1425 Belmont Street N.W. LLC, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, for a special exception to allow a group of dwellings all having front entrances abutting a side yard, and to allow a group of eight (8) single-family dwellings to be erected as a single building under subsection 410.13, in the R-5-B District at premises 1425 Belmont Street, N.W. (Square 2661, Lot 50).

17440 - Application of D.C. Water and Sewer Authority, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3103.2, for a variance from the off-street parking requirements under subsection 2101.1, and pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, a special exception to allow the construction of a new pumping station and related facilities under section 207 (Utilities), in the R-2 District at premises 1801 Minnesota Avenue, S.E. (Square 5616, Lot 800).

17404 - Application of Wilbur Mondie, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3103.2, for a variance from the lot width and lot area requirements under section 401.3, to allow the construction of four flats (two-family dwellings) in the R-4 District at premises 410, 412, 414 and 416 Richardson Place, N.W. (Square 507, Lots 810, 812, 814 and 816).

17409 - Application of Gonzaga College High School, pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, for a special exception to increase the student enrollment from 900 to 980, and to increase the faculty and staff level from 110 to 120 persons under section 206, in the C-2-A and R-4 Districts at premises 19 I Street, N.W. (Square 622, Lots 90 and 840).

17337 - Application of N Street Follies, Ltd., pursuant to 11 DCMR § 3104.1, and 3103.2, for special exceptions to allow a hotel under section 512, for a partial waiver of the rear yard requirements under subsection 534.6, and to allow multiple roof structures and roof structures not meeting the normal setback requirements of subsection 530.4, under section 411, and for variances from the height requirements under section 530, the floor area ratio requirements under section 531, and the court requirements under section 536, to allow the construction of an addition to existing buildings to be used as a hotel in the DC/SP-1 District at premises 1743-1755 N Street, N.W. (Square 158, Lots 69, 835 and 836).
